Tree fruits

Pollination is essential!
Here's one of our bumblebees pollinating our apple tree.

Some of our fruits grow on trees. Trees can be very productive since they're so large, but it brings with them the problems of taking care of a large plant. It has also been difficult to grow them organically.

We have a pear tree, cherries, beach plums, and an apple tree.

We also grow some native trees in our habitat garden that could be considered to be edible fruit, such as the apple serviceberry, but we haven't found any of the plants in our habitat garden to be things we like enough.

We prefer leaving them to our creatures—especially in the hopes that they find them appealing and abundant enough that they'll leave our fruit alone!
